The mission of the Encinita School Community is to educate all students in a safe, secure, disciplined environment, to promote academic excellence, and to provide opportunities to become responsible citizens in a diverse society.
Our vision encompasses the following beliefs, that Encinita Elementary School:
provides a high-quality curriculum and instruction that stimulate academic growth for all students.
staff and parents work together to assist students in becoming responsible and ethical citizens.
promotes continuous communication between school, staff, parents, and community members.
maintains a safe, clean, and secure learning environment.

Students should know how to read, write, and perform mathematics at grade level or above, according to the ability of each one. Students should understand science and social science concepts at grade level or above. Students should understand that a comprehensive education will provide them with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to become a productive, disciplined, and responsible citizen.
Students will develop character traits such as: a commitment to hard work, responsibility, ethical behavior, kindness, knowledge of laws, concern for the environment, respect for self and others, honesty, and good health habits, including a drug-free lifestyle.
