There is excessive and repetitive biting occurring in the toddler 1 room that is not being properly addressed by the center. My son has been attending RUMC’s child care center for less than 6 weeks and has already been bitten four times. Both the teachers and director act like it is no big deal that he’s being repetitively bitten and have told me they cannot guarantee he will not continue to get bitten! Even though he is being bitten by the same two students, the teachers are clearly incapable of managing this behavior while still protecting the other students. When I spoke with the director about asking the biters’ parents to withdraw their child, I was brushed off and told that they don’t have a standard that they follow for when a parent would get asked to find other care. Does my kid have to get his finger bitten off for this center to clean up their behavioral protocols?!
