About the Provider

Description: The philosophy of Riverside Christian Academy is based on a God-centered view that all truth is God’s truth and that the Bible is the inspired and the only infallible, authoritative Word of God that contains this truth. God created all things, and He sustains all things. Therefore, the universe and humanity are dynamically related to God, and they have the purpose of glorifying Him. Because humans are sinners by nature and choice, they cannot glorify or know God. A person can do this only by choosing God’s free gift of salvation through His Son, thereby committing his or her life to the lordship of Jesus Christ.

Riverside Christian Academy RoyalsOur aim in the social domain is to provide a Christian perspective on life and the world. This perspective will produce a balanced personality and a proper understanding and acceptance of one’s role in life at home, at work, at play, and at worship—all grounded in the Christian concept of love.This philosophy channels our energies toward promoting high academic standards while helping students to achieve skills in creative and critical thinking and to integrate academic subject with a biblical worldview. The objective of our instructional program is to enable students to pursue the post secondary education of their choosing, whether in college, university, or vocational training.

Operator has not scheduled and obtained a fire inspection within 12 months of the previous inspection. Operator did not submit the original approved report to DCDEE within one week of the inspection visit on a form provided by the Division. The most recent fire inspection was completed February 16, 2023. A copy of the inspection report was given to the child care consultant during today's visit.

All equipment and furnishings were not in good repair. The fence surrounding the outdoor play area was unraveling in multiple areas, creating protrusion hazards. The top of the fence was torn away from the fence post in the back right corner of the playground.

The indoor and/or outdoor premises was not checked once a day, prior to initial use, ensuring debris, and broken equipment was removed and disposed of. Empty water bottles and other litter was observed scattered around the playground area while children were using the space.

One staff member (P.J.), who started employment on 6/10/21, had a TB test on file that was dated 8/15/16.

All staff, including the director, did not have an annual health questionnaire on file following the initial medical statement. Each staff member did not have the required medical report, proof of tuberculosis test or screening and/or completed health questionnaire in a medical file, maintained separately from the staff member's individual personnel file. Two staff members (P.J. and K.R.) did not have a completed health questionnaire on file.

The superintendent at this school, Dr. Lin Wheeler, has been a part of trying to tear down a school called Freedom that God has built up. He even used to be a part of Freedom during the time that all these allegations are pointing to 4 years ago. People think he is a man of God, but he doesn't act like it. He is just going to bring Riverside down. It's a shame that someone like Him is dragging the name of Christ through the mud. DO NOT send your kids here.
