He and Joyce, his wife of 40 years, have planted and pastored eight different churches all over the country. Starting in 1990, as Executive Director of Church On The Rock International, Dr. Mitchell helped to oversee a fellowship of over 5000 pastors and ministers in the US and around the world. In 2005 God called him to Montgomery, AL where he planted RiversEdge Church and where he now oversees RiversEdge Fellowship International, a fellowship of over one hundred ministers
