One container of hard surface disinfecting wipes was observed on the teacher's desk and one container was observed on a classroom shelving unit. A container of disinfecting wipes was also observed on the facility's equipment cart. All items were labeled Keep out of Reach of Children and were determined to be accessible to children receiving care in the child care space. All DHS certified child care programs providing care exclusively to school-age children must maintain compliance with the requirements for the handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous material and biological contaminants in accordance with 45 CFR § 98.41(a)(1)(viii). (Announcement C-24-02). Correction Required: A facility shall be operated in conformity with applicable Federal and State laws and regulations.State agencies whose regulations may relate to the operation of a facility include the Department of Environmental Resources, the Department of Labor and Industry, the Department of Health, the Department of Education and the Department of Transportation. Conditions at the facility may not pose a threat to the health or safety of the children. |
