The Preschool Program at Ravensworth Baptist Church was established in 1970 as Mother’s Day Out, accommodating 60 children ages 1-5. It can be estimated that the program has served thousands of families over the years in Annandale and the surrounding communities. The program is play-based and focused on the individual needs of each child while promoting independence, social, emotional, and physical development. We have worked with children with special needs in conjunction with the Fairfax County program and our teachers are trained in identifying “red flags” of early childhood development to refer families for assistance.
The PDO Preschool Program is licensed as a religious-exempt center by the Department of Social Services for 59 children ages 2-5. We have children from diverse backgrounds and nationalities and are so proud to be able to support these children and their families.
