Description: Founded in 1939, Grasshopper Green is the oldest private school in Northern Virginia. Beginning in the old Christ Church in Arlington before relocating to Annandale, Grasshopper Green has had a long tradition of excellence. Our school today, originally a farmhouse which was converted to a school in 1962, is a warm and comforting environment for learning and discovering. Our secluded campus includes 3 buildings: a gymnasium, meadow, blacktop, and a large, 3 acre playground. It is a unique pre-school run by teachers and staff who love children and thrive on watching them grow. Dedicated to individual growth and development, Grasshopper Green is more than the typical day care center caring for children ages 2-5 years.
