It would be nice for the centers to notify parents who are members of the auto CC payment group if their card is declined. My bank recently sent me a new chip card in the mail which caused the card they had on file to not work. However, because I was not notified of this problem I not only got a fee for a declined payment $10 but also a late payment fee $30 for the next week.
The school never contacted me about the billing problem, only when I contacted them did it get corrected. My son has been attending this center for the past several months and we have never had a problem with billing before but I believe this is extremely unprofessional behavior on the behalf of the center and/or their corporate office.
I know the childcare provider I use for my other sons after school care notified me the day that the billing problem happened and it was rectified at that time (this provider had excellent customer service). Not two weeks, and $40 in extra fees, later. Would they have ever told me or would my fees have just kept adding up?? I believe my $248 every week is more than enough to pay this center!
So, if you decide a Rainbow Child Care Center is the place for your little one, watch out for their fees because they will not let you know they are racking up!!
