I have used this provider for more than 6 months

We have had our granddaughter in Little Embers for almost 2 years. In the beginning it was wonderful. The teachers were great and caring. She learned a lot. But over the last 6-7 months things have gone downhill very quickly. I do not see her learning as much as she used to. The television is on every time we walk into the school. She comes home with way too many bruises. She has told me (yes, we know that 3 ½ year olds are not always honest, but…) that she has been spanked and slapped in the face. This all comes after she was moved to a new classroom. I have tried to address this with the assistant director, but always received with an attitude. We finally decided to give notice and was again met with attitude and never asked why or what they could have done to make it better. For the following week and a half we were treated as though we did not exist. They would rudely say hello to our granddaughter but would not speak to us. After we were told about more incidents of “spankings and face slaps” we felt that it was no longer safe for her to be there and decided to move her out before the end of the 2 weeks. Once I knew she was safe I decided to make one last trip there to tell them she would not be back and why. I was not allowed to finish what I was saying and was told to leave. I was told that I was “all the trouble walking out the door”. I would be very cautious if you want to put your child in Little Embers. I have seen way too many teachers leave as well as many families pull their children over the course of the last few months.
