The foundation of Part 2 is a belief that all students should be given the opportunity to learn, develop, create, and explore in an environment that is safe, nurturing, and fosters the love of learning every day. Part 2 partners with area schools to create quality early education opportunities for all students ages 3-5 that best prepare them for kindergarten and lifelong success by working in conjunction with the school district to ensure learning targets are met and kindergarten preparedness to all of our students is achieved. Sample Daily Schedule (subject to change) Arrival, Table Centers, & Free Play 7:30 -9:00 -Parents and children sign in, wash hands, put lunches and belongings away, and engage in an activity. Morning Meeting 9:00- 9:15 - The group will come together to welcome each other, participate in a team activity and discuss what options will be offered throughout the day. Snack 9:15-9:45 -Children choose a healthy snack from their lunch box. Learning Experiences 9:15 ¿ 10:30 -Projects and centers are offered for children to participate based on children¿s interests. Often this is a time that we use to explore our natural environment. Outside Play 10:30-12:00 - Children should be prepared for all kinds of weather because we do go out multiple times throughout the day. Lunch 12:00 - 12:30 - Lunch will include quiet conversation about their day. Rest Time 12:30 - 2:00 - Children will rest quietly for at least 30 minutes, followed by individual books and calm activities if not asleep Choice Activity 2:00- 3:30 - Children will engage in classroom discoveries Snack Time 3:30- 4:00 - Part 2 will serve a nutritious, delicious snack Outside Play 4:00 - Pick-up - Children should be prepared for all kinds of weather because we do go out multiple times throughout the day.
