About the Provider

At the Park Slope Schoolhouse, we believe in the integrity and individuality of each child. We strive to create a caring, diverse, loving, and stimulating child care environment that provides children of all backgrounds the opportunity to grow in their own distinct manner and at their own individual pace through play and organized activity. We value and welcome the involvement of our families and the community-at-large in the learning process of our children. The Park Slope Schoolhouse balances a developmentally appropriate preschool curriculum with the natural process of a child’s development—physically, emotionally, socially and cognitively. Children are encouraged to make their own choices and to develop an appropriate level of independence while remaining respectful and responsible members of a larger classroom and preschool community. Under the supportive care of teachers who are qualified, trained and experienced in early childhood education, children thrive and grow. We are committed to having caring and highly professional teachers who respect the culture of each family we serve. The quality and dedication of our teachers is reinforced by the many opportunities we provide them to learn and grow in their profession.
