I am an employee
After working here I saw that the owners don’t conduct themselves accordingly and that they use Gould language in front of the children. The employees aren’t cpr or first aid certified and they don’t feed the kids properly balanced meals, diapers aren’t changed frequently and the children are sat in front of a television for most of the day. Do not send your child here!
We have always loved jen and her daycare for the better part of a year. However that being said, after today and the culmination of events leading up until now, our 3yr old will not be returning. I always bragged about Jen and her workers and praised them in the highest regards. Affordability, cleanliness, loving practice, and attentive to the kids. My son being one of the first boys. That being said the past 3 to 4 months have been more then difficult and traumatic. Starting with our child being picked up on multiple occasions not only soiled but poop stuck to his butt and the start of a rash, after multiple instances we finally said something to the husband and he reiterated that it was a common problem with the afternoon staff member (josie) but unfortunately they weren't in a place to fire said staff. Turns out she's the daughter of the owner.. ok no worries Didn't understand why but after the next few days he'd make sure to reiterate every child needed a fresh diaper before going home and why. We established we didn't want our 3 yr old to have late long naps as we were trying to sleep train him, and if he got a late long nap he would be up until almost midnight,, which is again currently what he is doing, they continually laid him down for 2 hours late in the afternoon, and this morning I was told that me trying to prevent late afternoon naps was a form of corporal punishment and even after I said I dont mind if he's tired he could indeed have a shorter nap but to prevent him from sleeping 2 hours in the late afternoon , apparently is technically a form of torture.... or at least thats what I was told. And then told that our toddler gets angrily violent because not enough sleep?!? Ya well he would get enough rest if we could get him on a normal schedule which we've persistently tried to establish but they haven't worked with us. So unfortunately id have to say currently I wouldn't recommend this daycare , its fallen so far away from what it originally was. And also the price increase is insane going from 450 a month to 750 due to staff ? Id consider it if they could follow parental schedules and expectations!
