I would like to first say this pre-school once was an excellent pre-school my sister who now is in college has went there, my daughter who is now a sophomore, my son who is now a sixth grader all have gone to this school which is why I have given them two stars in opposed to one. The pandemic has caused some difficulties in the child care which my family and I have been nothing but understanding. My two year old may or may not have developmental issues and does have an issue with biting however I felt the attitudes of the directors misses the mark professionally. My child was being sent home excessively not only for biting but because "He's having a bad day". Covid has impacted many families my child's teacher reached out saying he was symptomatic we took him for testing and was the only person positive in our home and one of the directors stated "People are just living carelessly" when I don't leave my house as if were still under lock down which was inappropriate. My child was at the facility for over a year and we were not provided access to Dojo an unable to sign him in or out. We never received any formal report about his day. He got hands foot and mouth disease which is not uncommon in pre-schools but they exclusively sent our child home and did not close the classroom to sanitize. Two year olds will get into things so if he ever had a bump or bruise we attributed it to kids being kids but we have never been in receipt of any incident reports.I strongly believe this facility does not stay in ratio and despite my son being biter and as a parent wanting to learn more they simply stated that he bites on the playground. They have some excellent teachers most of which several have left the facility on more than one occasion I have received personal phone calls asking for me to pick up my so because they are there by themselves. I did a consult with an acquaintance of mine and while bragging how one of his teachers carries him in an infant carrier I was told that is a measure to restrict him. I have bought toys, contacted resources offered, and even reduce his time at the facility before they notified me they were going to give him a boot because "Two parents feel we aren't protecting their child from yours and are threatening to leave. My favorite is when I was told my son keeps biting a "police officers child". I kept my child there because I could tell the teachers genuinely loved him however that facility should be under investigation.
