Northmead Preschool

Northmead School is a K-5 elementary located in the north area of Patterson, CA. Northmead has a motto; Where Character Counts and College is for Certain. In order to live up to this we have implemented Character Counts into our school reinforcement/ management this year. This is a proactive program and students are recognized by teachers/staff with character awards tied to the six traits of the program (Fairness, Responsibility, Citizenship, Trustworthiness, Caring, and Respectfulness). These awards are placed in a weekly raffle prize drawing, and are used to choose one Student of the Month from each grade level. The students of the month earn a lunch with the principal and a shirt tied to the college their class has adopted. Every classroom has adopted a college and integrates college awareness into their classrooms. College for Certain does not mean that we expect everyone to pick a career that requires a college degree; it means we expect every student to be prepared to go to college if they choose to go.
