Description: Nona’s Loving Care provides a secure environment for children during the most important time of their development. Nona’s Loving Care offers a home away from home, providing for their physical, intellectual, emotional and social development. Our goal in providing quality child care for your child is to provide…
A safe environment – Nona’s follows all Pennsylvania guidelines, codes and laws to ensure the safety of your child. All staff members are required to be certified in CPR, submit a Child Abuse Clearance, Criminal History Check and an FBI Fingerprint Clearance. Staff is required to complete professional development hours yearly.
A nurturing environment – We feel that all children are special and precious gifts who are individuals with specific talents and needs. Nona and her staff will treat your child with respect and care and will encourage them to express and advocate for themselves, increasing their self esteem.
A learning environment – Play is the work of children. Nona’s is supplied with age and developmentally appropriate materials that are in clean, safe working condition. Learning is not necessarily the ABC’s and 123’s, but is also the learning of values. The learning of honesty, respect, self–reliance, and potential, self-discipline, and moderation, the values of being; dependable, kind, friendly and fair are the values of giving.
A proper approach to discipline - Since children occasionally need discipline, it is important that we share a similar philosophy so that your child is not too confused as to where the boundaries are and what is expected of him/her. Children are taught which behaviors are inappropriate, and why, and given alternatives that are acceptable. In this way, the behavior is being changed, without making the child feel “bad” or unloved. This helps develop their self-esteem, and teaches them how to handle difficult situations themselves in the future. We express our disapproval (without attaching character). We state our expectations and show your child how to make amends. We give choices, and in extreme situations a child may be given a “time out”; because at times a child may be having trouble making choices of their own and they just may need a couple of minutes to calm down, and think about their choices.

Not the same place since Nona passed. Standards are much lower and im not sure they could pass an inspection. We removed our son after returning after hours to pick up a forgotten toy and the whole place smelled like pot.
My 6 year old stepson goes here and he absolutely loves it. I wouldn't trust him in just anyone's care. The staff is amazing. They are like a wonderful family.
I've had my 6 year old daughter here she went to kindergarten where she advance in her education thanks to Nonas daycare. She reads very well know her abc, days of the week, and months of the year. Also did great with pottu training. Now I have my three year old their who knows his abc, counts, and days of the week. The teachers their are really good. Thank you all for everything!
My grand daughter has been going to Nona's for the last 3 months. She is 3 and has separation issues from me and her mom. Her teacher and others have made her feel at home and welcome in the school. She is doing much better and she now runs up the sidewalk and to the door to go to school. It is a facility that makes it about the kids and allows them to learn at her own pace. The teachers adapt to the individual child and help them to grow individually. They encourage the children to share, help others and be themselves all while learning the fundamentals.
Your child will fit right in and love school as much as my grand daughter does!
I can't say enough great things about Nona's! My children love attending and actually can't wait to go in the mornings! Highly skilled staff, great educational games and activities, solid programs and everyone there obviously loves and cares for the children! I am extremely cautious with my child care and I highly recommend Nona's. Affordable, friendly, accommodating, clean, and fun!!!
I personally know the owner and a few staff members. The facility is great fully stocked with toys and areas for children to sleep when it's nap time. The staff is friendly and always has the best interest for the children at heart. I would recommend anyone to go there.
My experience with Nona's has been great! My child just registered for Kindergarten after spending 3 years with Nona's and he aced his entrance testing! So happy I choose Nona's for my son. The staff is caring, happy, and always very helpful. It's always very clean and the owner is there every day with a smile on her face. She is very involved. She knows every child and their parents by name and makes it a point to speak to them every day. Best decision I ever made for my child!
Absolutely terrible. There is no curriculum they follow, my daughter attended for over a year. In "pre-K" they weren't even teaching them how to write their names or the sounds letter actually make. I moved her and had her tested for kindergarten, where she sadly tested well below average. Luckily, the facility i moved her to tutored her through the summer and she was then prepared for kindergarten. The owner is a low life politician and is completely hands off. She shows up late morning/afternoon and sits on Facebook. This was witnessed EVERY SINGLE TIME I PICKED MY CHILD UP.
