Description: The Montessori School of Wausau is a non-profit corporation founded in 1970, making it the oldest Montessori school in the Wausau area. Its founding was due to an effort on the part of the community to bring Montessori education to the children of the Wausau area. This parent operated school is dedicated to providing high quality programs for children ages 2 1/2 to 6 years of age, a quality Day Care (Creative Learning Center) program, as well as a summer program. The classrooms are staffed with certified Montessori Directresses. In addition, the Creative Learning Center program is staffed with a four year ECE education teacher, and all the aids are hired for their specific abilities and skills to assist the Directresses.
