| Findings: The caller stated that the same night her son told her this, she called his teacher, Lisa Reiner, and reported the incident. The caller stated that Ms. Lisa Reiner was apologetic and stated that they would keep the children separated, but nothing further was done, so she pulled her child out of care 2 days later, and after a week the other child was still there in attendance. The caller stated that she is concerned for the safety of the children as well as proper supervision of the children. | Findings: At time of arrival, specialist walked around the center and observed an Aide to be in charge of a group of 2 and 3 year old children in Room 3 at lunch time as the class was transitioning to rest time. An Aide may not be left alone with a group of preschool age children unless it is rest time and all children are on their cots and the teacher is nearby and readily available to provide immediate assistance if needed. This Aide is currently taking the Montessori Teacher training and has some, but not all of her 90 hours and has completed the ADA and Basic Health and Safety training. Center has submitted an updated staffing pattern so that a qualified teacher is in this class and in the aftercare and state they will submit a variance for the Aide. | |||
