The Global Child - Bethel

Mencius Mandarin Preschool is a new English-Mandarin Chinese bilingual preschool located in the heart of Greenwich, Connecticut. It serves children ages 2 to 5 years old, and does not require that its students have prior knowledge of Mandarin Chinese. Our school admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin - as long as they are willing to learn Mandarin Chinese! Founded in 2009, the school is non-sectarian and is licensed by the state of Connecticut. We believe that in a world of increasing globalization, children exposed to a second (or more) language as early as possible in life will have enhanced skills to thrive in a multi-cultural world. Many studies have shown that learning a second language actually enhances a child's English ability by teaching him/her the structure of language.
