I recommend going to Melissa's munchkins. My girls are always so happy to go to her daycare and they have so much fun. Please consider taking your children to her. :)
For the reviewer of "Mom's beware" to say she doesn't take children on field trips is ridiculous. Is is one of the only daycares here in town that takes the kids to the parks, picnics, Tales for tots, splash pad, and even the zoo. To say her home smells like "pot" made me laugh and laugh until my chest hurt!!! LOL!!!! Everyone knew right then who wrote the review, and I'm sorry to say that "reviewer" is pathetic. Melissa is a great provider and I can attest to that because my kids are in her care. Please overlook the pathetic review that was left by a pathetic person.
I have been taking my child to Melissa for more than 3 years. She does a great job with my child. She even comes highly recommended from other daycares in town, which is whom I got my referral for her from. I was baffled to learn that she had a bad review from someone who has a personal vendetta against her when this website is about Melissa's Munchkins only. For as many years as my child has been in her care, I have only seen her husband a handful of times and EVERY TIME it was outside of daycare and he was kind to me and my child. Melissa even gets along with her ex-husband and his wife (which is fabulous), but I do understand from others that her husband's ex-wife is much to be desired and after reading her review, I'm beginning to see that for myself. Please ignore the review entitled "Beware Mom's" as it was wrote purliy out of spite and has nothing to do with Melissa's Munchkins and is absolutely falsification against Melissa and her family, as well. Melissa has ran daycare for 9 years or more and does not have a high turnover of children in her care because she is a caring, loving, and interactive with the care she provides. I know her personally and professionally and she is very much a loved friend and provider. I'm just sorry to see that she has to deal with the "drama" of her husband's ex-wife. Again, please disregard the review that was wrote purely for malicious reasons. I will always recommend Melissa for anyone's child.
The review that was entitled "Mom's beware" was not written by an actual daycare parent, nor are anything in that review true. It was wrote by the ex of Melissa's husband (as we can see the email that was posted and link it back to her). As a parent of 2 children that currently, and forever will be, in her daycare, she is absolutely fantastic with children and takes field trips on a regular basis. Her husband is a trucker, so he is never there, which disclaims the comment in the bogus review to be false AND she doesn't even drink coffee at convience stores. Please do not post horrible comments about such a wonderful daycare just because she is married to your ex. I am an attorney here in Larned, which took a little digging to figure out who wrote this review, but not much once you understand WHO wrote it. Also, she never had a child that was only in her daycare for 6 months. All of her children in her care have been there for years. Now that I have pointed out the "bogus review" is just that, bogus... Melissa is fabulous. She comes highly recommended by many people, me included. She has long term relationships with families and my children absolutely adore her! I would rate her 10 star if I could! Highly, highly recommend!
When you walk in just for the interview, Melissa is so warm, caring, and smiling. My daughter absolutely loved her from the first moment she met her! I can't believe how active Melissa is with the children and the fact that she even transports them to field trips, parks, Tales for Tots, and even school, just blows my mind! She never seems unsure around the children, never talks about another child ( or Family) badly, and all the children LOVE her. I am expecting now with my 2nd child and u can guarantee that I am not going to take my children anywhere other than to Melissa's Munchkins!
She is such a positive and nice person. I have been with her for going on 6 years now with 2 of my children and I would highly recommend her! Not only does she treat the children as part of her own, she transports the children to parks, swimming, and the zoo! They don't just sit around a house all day. We love her!
