About the Provider
Providing quality care in a small group setting. Clean home, fenced yard with play equipment, blocks from busy streets. Flexible program with organic rather than rote teaching (except Kindergarten prep). Very limited screen time. Daily music and dance, some yoga! Small dog (17 lbs) in the home is not contained, and children are taught to be gentle and caring with her.
I participate in the CACFP (Federal food program), and have had additional training in childhood nutrition. Children receive 4 servings of fruits and vegetables each day.
My philosophy is that you choose a home daycare for your child to have a daily experience of being in a home. My daycare is not in my basement, but utilizes the main living spaces of my home. Chlildren are taught and encouraged to behave as if they are at home, not an institution.
