Description: Established in 1992 in Pittsburgh’s Green Tree neighborhood, the Marian Manor Child Development and Learning Center is committed to the development of the whole child; socially, emotionally, physically and intellectually. We have a deep respect for the potential of all children. We will provide rich environments, which are engaging, welcoming, organized and supportive of the work of the children and educators. We believe children learn best through play, creative expression, music, participating in hands-on activities while having fun and when given the opportunity to make choices. Our essential goals are creativity, experimentation, coping skills, critical thinking and problem solving. We respect the uniqueness and privacy of each family and child.
We are licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare’s Office of Child Development and participate in the Keystone Stars quality enrichment program. This is a voluntary quality initiative that requires child care centers to meet specific standards that are over and above the state’s licensing requirements in order to move through their program.
Marian Manor Child Development and Learning Center accepts children without regard to race, color, religious creed, disability, ancestry, national origin, age, sex or limited English proficiency.

The teachers were fantastic, but the leadership was a nightmare. Leadership actively hid outbreaks of communicable diseases within the center, including COVID-19, and fired or expelled staff and families that questioned their communication practices (or lack thereof).
