If I could put a star lower than 1 I would. My experience with this daycare/pre-school has been very unfortunate.
As a mother of color, with obviously a child of color, the school has proven that he is not welcome. They have proven that there is a system of discrimination within their school that is alive and thriving on a day to day basis. They have accused my child of things he displays nowhere else in the world. They have terminated any teacher of color, and have pushed out any child of color or who comes from a diverse background.
This is particularly damaging to me as someone who did not grow up in the United States. I did not experience discrimination due to the color of my skin but did have to watch my child make the realization at three years old that the teachers were picking on him because he was different.
I walked into a room where he was telling himself things I should never have to hear as a parent. That the other kids were treated nicer because of how they looked.
Truly horrifying. How sad that in 2018 an institution of learning would treat anyone differently, and that they would be discriminating against.
