I have been using LMC CDC since 2015 and I love it! The director, manager, teachers, and front desk staff have all been wonderful and friendly. I always receive a pleasantry when coming in and leaving. I feel like my child has received wonderful care and a great learning atmosphere. We toured a couple of facilities before settling on LMC CDC, but picked this daycare for the following reasons: Cleanliness- teachers and staff make sure the rooms and children are clean. There are limited messes and everything gets wipe down at the end of the day. Ratio- they have a great ratio babies (3 teachers for 12 babies). Of course the older they get the ratio expands, but they are always have extra teachers to help relieve others for bathroom breaks and lunch. Learning- Every room has a lead teacher with a BA in early education. They read to the kids, work on flash cards, and make sure they reach their milestones. I get a work out every 6 month to a year about if my child is hitting milestones. Teachers are great to mention what we can do to help encourage our children to learn and grow. Outside- the play yard outside is huge! After visiting places that have small playgrounds with just wood chips, it's refreshing to see all the green grass! They have a covered area to ride bikes and during the summer time will do water activities. I want my children to love nature and they do! Food - a diverse menu that rotates every 6 weeks! They provide formula to babies as part of tuition! Staff- over the years we have gotten to know the teachers and staff extremely well. They are all loving and caring individuals. As a first time mom it was so scaring to drop off my 6 week old baby to strangers. They made the transition so much easier. It was a great feeling to know that the teachers truly love your children and they care for them so well! The only con is that it is a little bit on the pricey end for the area but it is conveniently close and the costs come out of my paycheck.
Poorly managed facility! Director is not friendly and doesn't engage well with her staff, the children or parents. As an employee of Lexington Medical Center I expected more from the director, teachers and staff. Never a friendly welcoming hello and my child spent more time outside than in the classroom learning and engaging in learning activities with the teacher. It should be called a Daycare because all they do is babysit! I can get someone to do what was done there for free or half the cost. The only reason why people send there children here is because of the convenience. Believe me when I say it's not worth it! There are some staff members that are excellent but it doesn't change the fact that the manager doesn't know how to run her facility! I was very disappointed and I wanted to warn other professionals that this facility is the worst when it comes to dedication and advancement in a child's development. Mediocre teachers and staff with awful work ethics reflect piss poor management! LMC should do a thorough investigation because as a professional I can't see how they could let this go on for so long.
