Description: Lexington Creek Elementary opened in August 1994 with approximately 600 students. The name is derived from "Lexington Blvd" and "Oyster Creek". Dr. Susan Wey, current Associate Superintendent for Curriculum & Instruction, was the first principal. In August 1999, Mrs. Jan McDonald was appointed Principal of LCE. She served in this capacity for seven years. Our current principal is Mrs. Lucretia DeFlora, who taught 5th grade at Lexington Creek Elementary Elementary before becoming an Instructional Technology Specialist. Mrs. Deflora was also the Assistant Principal at E.A. Jones Elementary before being named LCE's principal. Our staff currently consists of 31 classroom teachers, 18 special services faculty, 8 office personnel, 5 cafeteria workers, 3 custodians, and 6 extended day personnel.
