Description: The Community Education Foundation, a501(c) 3 organization, was founded in 1991 on the premise of opening Kids & Company, our before and after school program located in the Council Bluffs Schools. Since then the organization has grown to encompass the Council Bluffs Alumni Association, STARS Scholarship Program sponsored by the Iowa West Foundation, Classroom Grants, Teacher and Staff Appreciation, & Gear Up Students needy student fund. The Community Education Foundation also sponsors the Council Bluffs Community School District's Welcome Back Kick Off, and much more. In partnership with the Council Bluffs Community Schools, the Community Education Foundation has generated support for projects that would not otherwise be possible to directly benefit students, staff and families of the district.
