My daughter has been at Kids Academy since she was 3 months old and she has had the best quality care that I could have asked for at Kids Academy. The well trained staff truly care about the children and teach them so much! At the age of 10 months my daughter could do fluent sign language! She is now 4 years and and has learned so much from Kids Academy! We have moved and that is the only reason why we would leave this great child care! Kids Academy has some of then best well trained staff in the area.Its a great place to trust with caring for your children while out in the work field.
I loved this daycare! My boys loved this daycare! My 6 year old always had fun stories about Mr. Robert. They always had them envolved in group games after school. My 1 year old loved Mrs. Karen. She got excited to see her in the morning and would blow everyone kisses when we left in the evening. Lots of crafts and learning even for the 1 year old. I wish I could take them all with us when we move!!
Although there are a few really great woman employed by this facility that genuinely showed love and care for my daughter; I would not recommend it to anyone looking for childcare regardless. Through our experience, we have had a number of things happen that instead of taking accountability; excuses were made by the staff. The absolute last incident that happened was my daughter was left in a soiled diaper so long that she ended up with blisters. Complete neglect.I know daycare is hard to find and come by, but please do your research before hand and really read comments and reviews left by experienced parents of the daycare. They reassured me that the girl was fired for her actions in leaving my baby in her diaper, but who knows. As a parent I am disgusted 100% in the integrity and honesty of this facility and hope that this may sway a parent the other way.
After reading some of these reviews I can honestly say that I am pretty disgusted by the accusations that some of these people have made. My daughter has had the same two set of teachers since starting out in the three year old class. She absolutely loves going and asks every day when I am taking her back. Any problem or issue that has ever occured has always been handled with the utmost care, honesty and sincerity (and always in a timely fashion). Every teacher I have been in contact with seems to honestly care about not just my kid but all of them. I walk in and see children being held and hugged every day. They are always laughing and playing with the teachers. Now, I can say that I have seen children a few times in the evening when picking up actually be upset and want to stay at the center longer. It doesn't seem or sound like an "unhappy" or rude place to be to me. I hear "good morning" and "have a great day" along with "good night" and such every day. I don't ever think twice about my daughter being at this center. And that is saying a lot since before coming here I have only ever left her with very close family. I can't imagine taking her anywhere else. The center is always clean and friendly and caring, isn't that what a daycare is supposed to be?
My children have went to Kids Academy for over 4 years. I absulutly love the teachers and love my kids recieve. My daughter just started kindergarten this year she has only had three teachers. Also she has been taught so well that she bord in kindergarden and rather be at the daycare than regular school. My son is now four and his teachers from previous classes are the same and they still come love on him. My kids and I love Kids Academy so don't agree with these post.
Terrible terrible terrible place for children. This place is so dangerous. The only reason they have a fenced in play area is for DHS inspections. They let the kids play on the other side of the "clubhouse" that is not fenced and sits between the road and railroad tracks. Also my child came home talking about how they let the older kids take the younger kids into a shed and shut the door with no supervision because it's "cute". There are so many kids tree the workers cannot watch them all so my child comes home crying or with bruises from the same group of kids pushing him down,trolling him etc... But the teachers never "see it happen" so the kids don't get into trouble.... Ever. Speaking of teachers I 100% agree with the review below. I never know who is a parent picking up a child and who is a worker. They have at least 1 new person a month. The owner should not be allowed to be around children. She yells at them looks at them as numbers and has zero idea on how to raise them. How she hasn't been shut down I have no idesa.
We were with this daycare for over about 2 years. I should have gone with my gut and immediately taken my child out of there but at the time this was the only option. The director Melanie looks at the children as numbers. She is an absolute terrible person. There are many new staff members every month. We never know who is a teacher and who is a parent because so many teachers quit because of her. Instead of trying to fix problems they get rid of a child and bring In a new one. If your child has any disorder such as add/ adhd etc... Don't even walk in the door. They have zero tolerance and actually break laws to get the kids out. I have 2 friends who have worked there (quit quickly after refusing to treat the children so badly) but one child had adhd and had one emotional break down . Melanie immediately told the worker(my friend ) and quote " get them the f*** out of here" and refused to work with the child and kicked them out. I friend left after the same scenario happened again to another child. Kids are money to her and not people. My child left with emotional issues. I wish I would have left sooner. Do not put your child through this emotional mess of a place!!!!!!
The staff yells at the children instead of speaking to them and correcting their behavior in a positive light. They are rude and angry when a concern is brought to them and a parent was being chastised and yelled at in front of the children!! They point fingers are others and do not own up to any problems that have occurred. The rates are NOT set and fluctuate without notice. The kids are NOT the focus of this daycare, the money is. If a child is crying and scared to go inside the daycare in the morning, SOMETHING IS WRONG! If the teacher who is passing out the work for the day and can not spell herself (dolphin is now spelled with an F instead of a ph according to the pre-k teacher), why is she teaching these children?? Please do not subject your children to this daycare.
My children have gone to this center for two years. I will agree that initially the direction of the center was occasionally up and down. That isn't uncommon even in the best centers. A new center director was hired about a year ago and is nothing short of amazing. The staff is great with my kids and very open and honest. The director has taken the time to make adjustments when asked as well as notify me when even smallest situation occurs. I can say that I have been involved with other centers and even ones in surrounding communities. Kids Academy is just as credible if not more so. I leave my kids there everyday and never think twice about their well being because i know they are loved. I am no different than anyone else and have hard times to. I have had to delay payment more than once for more than a week and my kids positions were never in jeopardy. I really don't understand or relate to the previous review. I think Kids Academy is great, the director is great and the teachers are great.
I picked my son up one afternoon took him home and had noticed there was bleach all up and down his clothes not spots lines everywhere. I waited until Monday and told them what happened and brought clothes up there they did not care in fact they rudely told me kids don't need to come to daycare in good clothes! No! You need to keep bleach away from those babies! Needless to say he WILL not go back I also found out I wasn't the only parent who came in complaining! They are unprofessional and need to be shut down!!
