We took our 5 year old daughter there and she was treated nicely there by the staff that took care of the older kids but nothing to rave about. The staff that runs the morning shift before the owner comes in was not observant of the kids 3 and below. I personally had to stop little ones from walking out the front door 3 or 4 times because they were not paying attention or to busy talking.
She actually got sick there twice and was out for a week each time and we still had to pay full price to keep our spot. They also could not make a schedule of events for the kids 4 and up. If they managed to make one they normally did not stick to it.
The owner Amber is nice enough but there is a arrogance about her that rubbed us the wrong way. She had approached me about a month before school started this year asking if we wanted to stay there for either drop off or pick up. I said we wanted to drop off to Baily Elementary and she said ok. Nothing else was said until the end of the first day of school when she called to ask what school our daughter was attending. When we told her Baily she said that they did not go to Baily. We then said why did you not tell us that before and what would have happened if we did not want to drop her off ourselves for her first day of school and dropped her off there? Her only response was sorry. On top of that we do pick up every day and see a Sunny Patch van there EVERY DAY doing pick up.
Worst daycare ever. They don't file by DHS rules at all, they have been wrote up multiple times. The owner, Amber Loftis, is the most unprofessional owner that I've ever met. Do not send your child there if you care at all about the safety of your children.
The owner closed her doors and gave families three business days notice to find new care and it was the three days prior to Thanksgiving. She also terminated her staff with no notice. She is planning to re-do the facility to open a school age daycare only. I would never take my children to her again. She left MANY MANY families in a huge bind. DO NOT GO TO THIS FACILITY OR ANY OWNED BY AMBER LOFTIS.
I have a 4 year old and a 7 month old and Sunny Patch staff are the only people i trust with my children outside of my family. They know the children and care for them and they also take the time to know the parents, we are treated like family when we walk into the building.
I have and do recommend this childcare facility to everyone looking.
