This daycare has been nothing short of spectacular. Easy to work with and my kids are excited to go everyday.
Kiddie Cave has been the perfect fit for our family. We were looking for a small in-home daycare to care for our toddler twins and that’s exactly what Chantel has provided for us. I can’t say enough positive things about her, but I’ll list a few… she has successfully helped us potty train both of our kids, has taught them fundamental skills that they should know at their age, and allows them to be kids and enjoy their time at daycare. Chantel provides wonderful and nutritious snacks/meals for our children and makes sure they have access to water at all times to stay hydrated throughout the day. Almost daily my children come home with an activity and/or artwork they have done at daycare. My children absolutely love going to Kiddie Cave. Chantel keeps a consistent schedule with all the kids, which has helped my children thrive always knowing what to expect.
Of course Covid-19 has been difficult for all of us and especially schools/daycares. Kiddie Cave has had to close a few times due to Covid-19, but we are always notified and refunded for closures. During the time daycare is closed, Chantel thoroughly cleans and disinfects before re-opening.
I highly recommend Kiddie Cave! I always know my kids are cared for, and loved, which is my biggest priority as a parent.
Let me first start with the positives. Chantel was flexible with our hours needed of drop in care. My husband works 48 hours shifts with the fire department and I am active duty with the Air Force that has frequent early mornings and evening requirements. She also took very good care of our infant from the age of 3 months to 7 months.
Unfortunately daycare is a business and it was not run as such so here comes the negative. As I stated, we used kiddie cave as drop in care which required payment and requests of hours/days up front. We did this ritually and always paid and requested the Friday prior at the minimum but often times requested for the month. We were canceled on last minute for sicknesses and doctors appointments 4 times in those 6 months (we only used care twice a week at most). Other days/times were completely blocked off for doctors appointments leaving us to find drop in care elsewhere. We were occasionally 10-20 mins late picking our son up where we offered to pay for a full hour but were always told, “don’t worry about it.” We cancelled care after the family got Covid and Chantel offered to continuing watching children one day short of CDC guidelines but promised to “keep a mask on.” I would like to leave screenshots of our conversations over text but this review won’t let me. She said there would not be a cancellation fee and would audit our account for refunds from the Covid cancellation. I had to reach out to her several times over the course of two weeks to finally get the audit. Her books made no sense, which was proven to her through texts and zelle statements and she came back and said, “fine, then I am reinstating the cancellation fee.” I asked for her supervisors name and number which was refused with a response that said, “good luck finding it.” It isn’t much money that is owed to us but it her overall attitude was extremely unprofessional. Because of this, I would not recommend kiddie cave care to anyone in the Cheyenne area unless you have several backups for last minute care.
