I have used this provider for more than 6 months

We were enrolled here for 7 years between our two children and had wonderful experiences; however, last month they reassigned our child's 4- teacher to the other center and for the next week and a half, there was a different person in that classroom every morning. Three days (a Wednesday) into the "transition" we were called to pick our child up because he (at 4.5 years old) would not stay on his nap map. They told us there was a history of bad behavior, and told us the behavior could not continue. We entered the center 2x daily and were never once told of any issues, and our son's file was completely empty of any indication or incident report. The following week on Tuesday we were given a letter saying we had until the end of the month (about 4 weeks away) to work on the behavior or they would be forced to terminate his care. At this point there was still no consistency in the class. The very next day we were called away from work again to pick him up, as he would not settle at naptime. At 7 p.m. that evening, we were sent an email saying our care was terminated immediately. Within 7 days we went from having no idea there were issues, to being terminated after 7 years. We referred multiple families to this center, treated their staff on multiple occasions a year, and really enjoyed the individual teachers our children had, but once the owner and manager set their sites on you child, consider removing them immediately. Our son has flourished after being removed and I only wish we had done it sooner.

I have used this provider for more than 6 months

Positives -Staff is kind Negatives -Not sanitary (more often then not I would see a sick kid that they wouldn't send home. This made it so my daughter was sick all the time and I would have to keep her home) -poorly planned lessons ( My daughter came from a learning daycare where she learned so many things. I felt the classes at KidCare were not as productive and learning inducing) -Multiple teachers (Due to employment struggles the teacher was never the same.) -lack of communication. (I never knew what was happening in class or how my daughter was doing. I often asked and was told they didn’t know. All of these are things that I could overlook as she made friends and seemed to enjoy it. Overall I would have left a 3 star, not the best but not bad. The reason for the one start is below. My little attended their daycare for 7 months and in that time I was never told anything other then she had a good day. Out of the blue, we were given a letter stating she was no longer welcome back at daycare. She had been hitting and had not been listening to her teachers. As a preschool teacher myself, I can understand needing to remove a disruptive child from class. I cannot understand how I as the parent was not given any notification of my daughter having problems. If she is hitting and hurting other children I should have been told immediately, a plan should have been put in place to create a learning inducing area. The behavior should have been worked on at home. Failing to communicate with the parents when your handbook states it will is not only unprofessional but also scary, what else was I not being told about? What else in your handbook are you not doing? The lack of communication about my daughter having problems is very unprofessional. as far as we knew my daughter was behaving and was doing well. Kid care choosing to kick a child out without giving the child any chance to change their behavior yells 2 things. 1. They do not have the skills to deal with common behavior problems that most 3 year olds go through. 2. They are comfortable with poor communication which will lead to someone getting hurt.
