The Academy was identified by the Skillman Foundation as a High Performing-Good Schools grant recipient in 2010. We were previously named a Skillman Good School in 2005 and again in 2006.
The school’s name was officially changed to John R. King Academic and Performing Arts Academy for the 2004-2005 school year to reflect our unique position of offering a full instrumental and vocal music program, as well as dance, drama and visual arts.
