I wondered if there was an egress window as the children are only in the basement. I wondered if there was radon mitigation in the home. And the day I was there there were more than 16 toddlers and one of the owners was sitting in the door way to keep the children in the typical block basement room and the other was tending to a much older child, I think it was their child, who had thrown up on the stairs. The children were just wondering around. I didn't see alot of learning toys or reading going on, or numbers etc. which I would expect. Not sure if this is a daycare or just a babysitter. I wasn't very happy. I know it is a tuff job, but none the less it is a job not just a way to make money. I would not take my child to this daycare.
Jenny and Christy have done such a great job. They always go out of their way for the kids. Giving them crafts and lots of play time to interact with the other kiddos. They are very good about having the kids use their manners and play nicely with each other. It's also nice to see that they have the kids clean up at the end of the day to help promote some responsibility at home. The only time I ever hear anybody complain about them is when those parents are causing problems and are entitled and ignorant. Would definitely recommend!
Should have left sooner. This provider had more than the kid maximum of 16. Every time you would ask how many kids they had, they never answered. All the parents talked about it but never said anything. Shame on us. Also, during nap time my husband saw one of the providers getting her nails done in a town 20 minutes away. Is that what we are paying you to do? What happens if there is an emergency? 1 provider:"16" kids ratio not O.K. but it's your money and children, spend it how you'd like.
