I am grandmother of three boys all of whom attend iPlanet Academy and am involved in transporting the boys, discussing their progress with staff, and attending some of their special events. As a former teacher in Maryland, I am used to evaluating and delivering differing curricula and progrsms. iPlanet has a highly qualified staff who promote a no-nonsense approach to learning and discipline in addition to delivering the curriculum with a professional demeanor. That is not to say that children do not have fun while learning nor that they are over-disciplined. The curriculum is broad and well fashioned, and teachers develop all aspects of children's developmental areas including intellectual, personal, and emotional, all in a nurturing, caring, and cheerful though serious manner. The VPK program is the best I have observed, with a particularly effective reading program. The boys are five (just graduated VPK), four (going into VPK), and 20 months. These children have all benefitted from the willingness of staff to patiently work with their individual needs; the five-year-old demonstrated drastically improved behavior and, as a result, was able to focus on his learning and do very well. The elementary school at which he was placement tested wanted to know what pre-school he attended because he is so kindergarten ready and did so well on the testing. I encourage any parent with pre-schoolers to check out this academy.
I love this school. Since The moment you enter they are smiling to you. They greet you and your child by name. You can see that the kids love to be here (my son always runs to his classroom the moment I open the door)This place is always clean and there enough teachers and assistants at all times with them. Employee communication with parents is always friendly, clear and precise. . The children are safe and well cared for. If you work almost all the time, like me, Iplannet Academy is open most of the year, is very few holidays they take. Now, as to the classes, your children will LEARN. The teacher is really equipped to do their job, and you notice it. The teacher sends you notes on the progress of your child at all times. Thanks to the two teachers my child have,(Jessica both have the same name) my son learned a lot. I never had problems with this day care. If you are looking for care for your child or VPK and you feel frustrated because you don't know where to put him or her and want to be confident that when you go to work they are safe, and learn, try Iplannet Academy you will not regret it.
Amazing school, great staff that really care about the kids!!! Not only that but the environment is good, very clean and safe place!!!!
