I can't say enough good things about IPCP. My son thrived at IPCP while he was there from age 3-5. The teachers and administration are top notch - caring, loving, creative, and encouraging. All teachers and staff are trained in conscious discipline, and it's amazing to witness them apply their training so naturally. The children spend the majority of their day outside, learning and exploring through play. The community and parent helper days at IPCP are the 2nd reason to love this school! Being able to join class as parent helper is equally as special to the parent as it is the child. I can't wait for my younger son to start next year!
Inman Park Cooperative is exactly what we were envisioning for our children’s introduction to education. Initially we picked IPCP due to its focus on conscious discipline, nature-based learning & overall co-op module. Instead of being only focused on educational benchmarks or excelling “early” at skill sets we wanted our kids to learn cooperation, compassion, and empathy. Fostering how to interact with other humans respectfully while discovering the words for their emotions. While a co-op setting and elevated family requirements doesn’t fit for every family unit we wanted to dive in and meet our littles friends, teachers & be engaged in their community to better understand what they were experiencing and learning while away from us. Our children have learned life skills and as parents we have grown too! The teachers and our director bolster daily how to communicate and live conscious discipline principles. I can’t express enough gratitude for the teaching staff, our wonderful director, and our fellow parents being involved above and beyond. Our kids have met lifelong friends to continue jumping in puddles with and we have broadened our parent friend group.
