My husband and I toured this facility one day ago on 1/11/2018 and we were highly impressed with what we encountered. The infant room is very calming with music playing in the background, and the babies were quiet. Not even one of them was crying. There were two women in there, one feeding a baby and the other playing with another child, while the other children were either crawling around happily or bouncing in bouncy chairs. I went there with reservations, because my daughter is only 5mos old and is now having to attend a daycare. I toured several and also read the reviews on them. I was not pleased with most of them, and the ones that I was pleased with still was lacking what I was looking for. But Hot Springs Child Care has everything that I want, and hopefully they will be excepting my child here pretty soon.
Grandson placed here by great grandparents. He is one of the oldest in his class. Went to parent/teacher conferences. I had concerns about his learning (or lack thereof). I was told by his teacher that they aren't required to actually TEACH the kids only EXPOSE them to different activities. Writing his name looks the same as 9 months ago. He only knows 1 more capital letter (knew 10 in August), and 4 out of 28 lower case letters. I have never heard him sing any of the color songs, alphabet song (he knows less than half), or any other learning songs that my 3 kids did (and one has SEVERE autism). My granddaughter could count to 10 in 3 languages, knew all the color songs and wanted to sing them to me everyday they learned another one. I have never met teachers that cared less about their students learning. We only see him every other weekend but I work with him but he has no interest in learning or showing me what he knows. I have never run into such a disaster for children.
