Description: The Hoeflin Stone House Early Childhood Education Center is located on the north side of campus on North Manhattan Avenue. The two-story facility features state-of-the-art technology and houses offices, a research suite, and six classrooms for children, ranging in age from six weeks through five years. Three architect-designed playgrounds, to meet the unique developmental needs of infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, are available on-site. The licensed center also is accredited by the National Academy of Early Childhood Programs of the National Association for the Education of Young Children. The facility serves as the clinical training site for students enrolled in the state approved and nationally accredited pre-service teacher education program in early childhood education. Both part-day and full-day programs are available for young children, including children with special needs.
