Lamb of God Lutheran School is the only preschool in Manhattan to have membership in the Evangelical Lutheran Education Association.

Our vision at Lamb of God is to be the premiere educational facility in Manhattan.  We are a Christian institution that proudly represents Christian values and ethics in the education of children.  You can be rest assured that your child will be prepared for the next stage of life when they graduate from Lamb of God.  Word of mouth is our best advantage for keeping up a strong program and reputation so please tell your friends and family about us!

Lamb of God School follows a child development model which incorporates the theories of Piaget, Montessori, Erikson, and others when working with young children. Learning through play is viewed as the cornerstone of our curriculum. Adults provide protection, security, stimulation, support, limits, and affection. Children are respected as individuals within a child-oriented rather than teacher-directed program.

At Lamb of God School children are given the opportunity to explore materials and participate in a variety of experiences. Activities are carefully planned and implemented in an open-classroom setting. Children are free to choose from age-appropriate activities including art, music, language development, pre-math skills, science and nature, and dramatic play. Children develop self-esteem, independence and problem-solving skills as they make choices and assist in planning the environment and the activities.

Our primary goal is for children to feel safe and secure. Prior to being independent a child must know that he or she can depend on adults and a predictable environment. Children are treated with respect and kindness. We recognize that children develop at different rates and have different interests. Small group size and appropriate teacher-child ratios allow for meeting the individual needs of each child.

Additionally, children will develop their spirituality and love of God through a Bible story and activity during Chapel time daily. Christian based activities will be included in many of their other experiences during our daily programs. We want all our children to respect their friends, teachers, families and God. We will teach children to show respect and to treat others kindly. Lamb of God is also committed to working closely with parents toward the welfare of the whole child and family.

Each program varies in tuition costs. Please see our website and click on the registration form for more information.  A $100 registration fee is due with the student’s application to secure your child’s spot. If you have concerns about payment please contact our office.

**Lamb of God Lutheran School has a provider agreement with Raising Riley Smart Start and Department of Children and Families (DCF) offering monetary assistance for childcare costs.**
