I am the owner/operater of happy hearts daycare. I don't do drop in for out of state people in the area. Sorry. Yes I was full. No I don't keep names of other providers who take drop ins, not my job. Maybe I was busy when you called but I'm a very good provider! Ask my clients of 10yrs!
I apologize if I sounded rude. At the time of your call many people in the hays area were getting strange calls from out of towners needing daycare. It seemed fishy. Sorry!
I am an out of towner, looking for a drop in for my infant while at a business conference. I came across this daycare through a list I was provided by my company. When I called to inquire about any vacancies, the phone was answered by someone who was rude. They cut me off when I was speaking, told me that they don't live in Colorado, which I was not asking about Colorado but hays kansas, she then told me that they were full, I tried asking her if she knew of anywhere else that would take drop ins, she again cut me off telling me she was full! I get it your full, but that was not what I was asking. I do not have dementia, I actually listened to you, I was now inquiring for suggestions. I am a new mother, this is my first time looking into daycare. I was discouraged about this ladie's attitude, if she was going to talk to an adult this way, how is she talking to the children already in her care. Children have needs and if she's too stressed to listen to those needs then I'm glad she was full. Fortunately I came across other home daycares that were helpful and pleasant and directed me in the right direction. Happy hearts daycare is not an environment I would want my child in or any of my friend's children. I'm just glad that there are many more options than this place and I found one that is MORE deserving of their name "happy hearts daycare"
