Description:
School Philosophy - At Happy Day Child Care Center our goal is to provide a nurturing, safe and developmentally challenging environment for your children. The early learning years inspire children’s enthusiasm for loving life and the experiences within it. This includes but is not limited to learning, exploring, working and playing with other people and learning how to be a responsible individual and part of a group. We have developed our program based on the four domains (Cognitive, Language, Social/Emotional, and Physical) of development in children ages 2-5. At Happy Day Child Care Center we believe that each domain or puzzle piece is important because they help to develop the “whole child.” We focus on each child as an individual and an active member of a group focusing on their strengths and nurturing their weaknesses. Curriculum & Objectives - In order to develop your child’s sense of curiosity, promote their social-emotional growth, enhance their language skills and strengthen their cognitive development At Happy Day Child Care we have developed a theme rich curriculum which incorporates math, science, language, social studies, art, motor activities, and most importantly play. Children age 2-5 learn many important skills through exploring their curiosity. Swimming - Children 3 years and older receive in-structional swimming lessons from our YMCA’s Aquatic Staff once a week.
