Description: I am a Mom turned Licensed Home Daycare Provider. I am a trained Chef, however that left me constantly craving more time with my kiddos. I think it is important to provide kids with healthy and balanced meals each day, to help them create a great relationship with food, and teach them the importance of fueling their bodies in a healthy way. I do my best to incorporate the children into meal preparation as much as possible! I have been licensed since January 2016, and have had experience with children ages 10 months to 4 years, since becoming licensed. I choose a theme for each month to help focus our learning and our art projects around the theme, I find that the children respond well to making learning FUN! I also stick to our daily schedule, as I find most children thrive when presented with a routine! I promote a sense of family and community among the children in my care. Each child is expected to treat all of their friends with respect! Each child is expected and taught a sense of responsibility in my home, like cleaning up after themselves, helping with setting the table for meals, clearing their own dishes, helping our friends when they need it and many other things. I value a sense of independence in a child, and because of that, I am always teaching the children in my care how to do things for themselves, with patient and easy to understand directions, and consistency in my expectations of them.
