Glen Cove After 3 Middle School

Glen Cove After 3 is an afterschool program. This program is offered to students in Landing and Connolly Elementary Schools and the Robert M. Finley Middle School and takes place immediately after school in each of the above mentioned buildings. This is a 3 hour a day, 5 day a week program with 3 components. The 1st hour is academic enrichment and allows students with the help of district teachers to work on their homework; the 2nd hour offers activities that introduce students to different careers including technology, music, art, cooking, fashion and more; the 3rd hour concentrates on healthy lifestyles, working with students in sports, dance and karate. Glen Cove After 3 is offered through a 21st Century Community Learning Center grant from the New York State Department of Education. The Glen Cove Youth Bureau is the lead agency and partners with the Glen Cove School District, the Police Department, the Senior Center, S.A.F.E., Inc. and the Downtown BID in offering a comprehensive program to our youth. This is not a drop-in-center and students commit to come 3 hours a day, 5 days a week. Glen Cove After 3 also offers a full day summer program for students entering grades 3-9.
