I have used this provider for less than 6 months

My daughter had an accident and was left in urine-soaked clothes for at least three hours, through lunch and nap time. Her shoes were also soaked to the point her toes were pruned. The staff never noticed. I arrived early for pickup and changed her myself, then I told them. The substitute teacher's response was "sorry that happened." The director suggested I email the owner, who responded by kicking us out of daycare and blaming my three year old for not telling the sub. There have been other subs who do not know where my daughter was when I arrived for pickup. Thankfully, she was in the bathroom, but if the sub didn't know a child was in the bathroom, would they notice if I child left the room to go outside? The regular teacher knew exactly where all children were at any given time, which is what I expect. We loved the regular teacher, Miss Kim, and will dearly miss her.

The educational philosophy of Gingerbread School centers on the belief that children are active learners who develop best when their daily activities and projects stem from their own interests. This philosophy is founded on our knowledge that early childhood development focuses on the social, emotional, cognitive, physical and aesthetic development of the individual child. Developing each child's natural curiosity and desire to learn is achieved through a variety of fun and creative age appropriate activities which incorporate all these stages of development. We strive to create an atmosphere where each child is respected and encouraged in a safe, well supervised and clean environment. We are committed to fostering a positive self-esteem through the cultivation of skills, interests and positive social interaction. This fosters trust and provides peace of mind to parents.
