Very unprofessional and very hostile. They expect so chore even while your pregnant that can be very strenuous and unhealthy.Staff are very disrespectful and says rude things to you and your kids. They don’t even have case mangers here that can help you be able to forward in life. They have huge hole in ceiling which is very unsanitary and hazardous. There are staff here that lives to records and violate your HIPPA rights. When you come here too don’t expect them to help with your bags.
This is the worst shelter in the Bronx for women with there babies and pregnant women.I’ve heard rumors that the Staten Island location was closed due to poor treatment of the staff and poor living conditions. This program is not acessible for women at all there’s no gain here my advice is just go to PATH.This is a non profit organization that isn’t accessible to women in wheelchairs they have steps only no elevator. From when you arrive the hell starts there with them making up rules. They kick you out if you don’t allow them to search you. They don’t have staff available to bring in your belongings;they watch you bring it in even if your struggling. There’s no food in the fridge or anything to drink but tap water. They ask for 10% of your income to not give it back and they don’t help you look for a apartment they give you (resources)you can find online yourself. The Bronx organization is filled with dust and rats and old staff that are not willing to assist you.At G.C Bronx location gives you chores every week without cleaning products except a old dirty mop and broom. There’s chances if your child comes here he or she would have led poisoning from the holes in the wall or random leaks. The casemanger is a waste she expects you to live under these hard conditions without addressing the main concerns like why there’s no food in the fridge.Well her name is Toni Rackley if you run into her good luck! Her attitude and approach to dealing with the pandemic crisis issues are unreasonable!
P.S To all volunteer that donate to these organizations please make sure you do you research to see if they actually deserve your donations and time.
