Gallatin Church Of Christ Day Care - Gallatin TN Centers Care for 13 or more children

These daycare reviews are quite troubling to me because this has NEVER been our experience. We have 2grandchildren there; we frequently drop off and/or pick up related to our daughter’s work schedule. Our kids started there in the infant room and progressed to toddlers and pre k. The teachers are so loving-nurturing-thoughtful. Our kids are learning what pre k kids need to know as well as how to be good friends-share-care about their community. We love this daycare. Why not 5 stars? It’s not as pretty as a lot of centers out there; the hours are a little limiting. But you can’t short change the hearts of the teachers….

Don’t take your child to this daycare. My grandson’s went there and the youngest one under 18 months came home filthy dirty, clothes ruined and mulch in his diaper daily. The after school program is terrible. They locked my six year old grandson in the bathroom. Six year olds are together with the older kids up to 12 year olds. The older kids picked on my grandson and he has come home with terrible bruises and the workers could not explain why a huge bruise was on his side. He has been kicked by other children in the stomach and groin. The workers eat Icecream while they are supposed to be watching children. Deanna, who is suppose to be the director gave out personal and private information on my grandson to someone who was not on the list to receive info. And discussed my grandson for 13 minutes on the phone with an unauthorized person. The place is filthy and unsanitary, The chairman of the board, Kathy Watkins, is very rude and puts labels on the children. I would never recommend this daycare to anyone.

We have been at this daycare since my son was 2 years old and never had a problem until recently when the new director took over. She has been filling in as a teacher in his Classroom because the teacher they hired can’t start for another month. I was contacted on Tuesday 11/26 the week of thanksgiving regarding his behavior and he was sent home by 10:15A. We didn’t return to school until the following Monday 12/02 and I was contacted to have a meeting the next day..Tuesday 12/03 at 5:00. On this same day I spoke with the directors boss, Kathy and told her my plan to help as well and she seemed supportive and listened to my concerns...so I thought! Tuesday 12/03 before 9:00A she called me to tell me they (her and Kathy..who was not in the office on 12/03) decided to kick him out. They would not allow me to view video recordings of the classroom to see what the issue may have been which is extremely shady to me. Especially to kick him out over the period of three days with two of the days being less than half of the day with him being there. The director herself doesn’t know how to handle children and like I said my son didn’t have a problem except minor things until she got in the classroom and then everything was sudden and extreme while I know they have other children in the center that has NOT been treated this way. I would not recommend this center to anyone because the leader herself can’t handle a classroom and obviously hasn’t been trained how to handle children without sending kids home and/or “visit another classroom” which was her method of how she’s tried to help him. She had no structure in the classroom herself.

Dishonest place, questionable child care. I removed mine from there.
