Description: PRE-SCHOOL IS A JOURNEY, NOT A RACE
What started as a little farm house has become a “Home away from home” where, since 1991, several thousand children have started their very own journey.
Footsteps to Learning is a privately owned, licensed pre-school that offers children the warmth and values of a home, while providing the strong educational foundation needed to succeed in kindergarten. Our children learn to be critical thinkers, problem solvers and independent workers. Most importantly, it is here that they discover a love for learning.
Footsteps to Learning offers a well rounded program where children are presented with many types of learning experiences. It is very important that the concepts that are being taught are understood, not soley memorized. When children are directly involved in the learning process, they develop an understanding of the world around them and build a strong educational foundation for the school years that will follow. There is one common factor that all children globally share and that is the fact that they all love to play. When they are presented lessons that are fun and when children are allowed to be children, it is amazing how much they will learn. It is our goal at Footsteps to Learning to not only prepare them for kindergarten but to help prepare them for life.
Footsteps to Learning is a “NUT FREE SCHOOL” and we respect the needs of children with allergies and their dietary restrictions. We are MAT (medication administration trained) licensed as well as New York State licensed. The staff is CPR and First Aid certified as well as each head teacher being MAT licensed.
Footsteps to Learning has an “Open Door Policy” where all parents of enrolled children may drop in at any time. Please come and visit us and see for yourself how much fun learning can be.
Where possible, ChildcareCenter provides inspection reports as a service to families. This information is deemed reliable, but is not guaranteed. We encourage families to contact the daycare provider directly with any questions or concerns, as the provider may have already addressed some or all issues.
