Description: The Montessori School of Holmes Run first opened in 1973, as a response to parent interest in a community-oriented, child centered learning opportunity. In 1995, the school purchased The Falls Church Children’s House, a nearby Montessori school, and moved its early childhood program to that site. The original site became the Upper School, which now serves students in first through eighth grade. Both sites are owned and operated by Designs for Early Learning, Inc. The two sites are a mile apart, and both are affiliated with the American Montessori Society.
