Curriculum will include such subjects as Conversational Russian and the Art of Speech, Russian Grammar, Express yourself in Written Russian and Russian Literature.
Our teaching techniques also target students for whom Russian is a second language.

We came to Metaphor for two two-weeks' long summer camp sessions in July - August of 2012. We then decided to add one more summer session. And then we signed up for the 2012-2013 school year for our daughter. She just started her kindergarten year with Metaphor for this, 2013-2014 school year. This morning on the way to school, she told me, "Mama, I have really good kindergarten."I was looking for an extension of our home environment, where our daughter is exposed to both Russian and American culture, both Russian and English language. But i was also looking for more professional instructional help with teaching her the intricacies of the Russian grammar, inciting her to read and write more so than i could do at home. And this is what we found at this school. Metaphor offers a unique experience for both kids and parents alike. It combines the high standards of learning with a warm, home-like atmosphere. Classroom teachers to kids ratios are kept small and intimate, so the kids get more individualized attention. Teachers know exactly what each child under their care is capable of and how much they need to be challenged or helped. Kids get to have these highly skilled teachers to work and play with them. Did you have a speech therapy class, music class, theater, regular participation in fun performances, along with a superior academic program at your school? I went to a great school, but I did not have all that. I am glad our daughter does.
