Elevation Children’s Center is inspired by the world-renowned early education programs originated in Reggio Emilia, Italy, that have demonstrated the amazing learning capacity of children when supported by teachers who cultivate a natural tendency to explore, wonder, and create. Combined with our excitement about the Reggio approach, we bring our expertise and experience supporting language and speech development in young children.
In preparation for future academic success, children need to learn the meaning of a vast number of words and how they interconnect in order to become adept at expressing themselves through increasingly advanced language. Our program helps children achieve this by focusing on language skills and critical thinking through the development of vocabulary, abstract thought, and the ability to explain ideas using complex sentence structure. Language and vocabulary development enable children to become skilled readers and writers, and contribute to increased proficiency in social interactions.
We believe the most important skill children will learn in their first 5 years is how to understand and use language. At Elevation Children’s Center we go beyond the development of basic communication skills. Through interaction, exploration, and self-expression children develop the language and cognitive tools needed for a lifetime of academic and social achievement.
