I have used this provider for less than 6 months

If you are thinking of putting your child in this daycare center, take my advice and look elsewhere. I had to stop taking my son and daughter here after ONE day in their care. I was checking the security cameras all day while at work. I noticed one of the "caretakers" named Tatyana grab my son's legs in a very rough manner and force him to sit crisscrossed. She then grabbed his arms, again in a rough manner, and forced them on his lap. I immediately called the director De Ana and told her about the incident. She stated that she was out getting groceries for the center and would review the footage and call me back. Shortly after, I saw the assistant director, Precious go into the room to tell Tatyana that I called about the way she grabbed my son. She again decided to demonstrate what she had done and grabbed him again forcing him to sit crisscrossed. They seemed to change the subject quickly and were soon laughing and having a friendly conversation. After Precious left, I saw Tatyana yell in one of the faces of another child that was already crying and he backed up and looked very scared of her. They were all sitting on the floor at this time and even though there is no audio, it is clear that she was yelling at him in a threatening manner. I kept watching as they got up from the carpet and started doing other activities in the classroom. I then saw the same “caregiver” Tatyana yank another child by his arm, grab both of his arms forcefully and then grab him by his neck. She tries to pretend at the end that she is playing with him and tickles him before he runs off crying. After witnessing this, I called De Ana again since I had not yet heard back from her. She again said she was still at the store and would review everything when she got back to the center. I told her I did not feel comfortable with my son in the room with Tatyana and she assured me that she has never had any problems with her and she will talk to her about what was going on. After she got back to the center and reviewed the footage she told me that she did not see anything that concerned her. She stated that Tatyana “used the proper techniques” when physically contacting the children and that if I would like to go over the footage with her, we could do so when I went to pick up my children. She also assured me that she would talk to Tatyana and make sure she understands my concerns. I agreed to going over everything with her together but still kept a close eye on the cameras for the rest of the day. I then realized that I was able to save portions of the video for playback and also save them to my phone. I had already wrote down the time that she roughly handled my son so I decided to playback the footage and save those particular parts so we could go over them together. However, to my surprise, the portions were gone. The video seemed to skip right when she was about to grab him and again when she demonstrated how she grabbed him the first time. I figured she may have cut out those portions so that we could review them when I arrived. Once I got there, she was not at the center and said she was on her way back. I talked to Tatyana in person and she told me she would never hurt anyone and I should see the video again. I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt. I waited about 20 minutes and De Ana finally arrived. As she pulled up the footage, she noticed those parts were missing. I told her I had noticed it but I thought she pulled the footage for review. She started saying maybe it was the signal and we needed to go outside. I explained to her that it wasn’t the signal and that it was doing it too while I was at work. She again insisted that we go outside so we did, and of course, it still did not work. I then showed her the part where Tatyana yanked the other boy’s arm and she said Oh, I didn’t see this, I’m going to have to look over this at home. (What a coincidence the part she didn’t see was still available to playback.) She then called the owner and he said he would reboot the system to try to retrieve the missing parts. She said she would contact me after the reboot. We both left the center and I never heard from her. The next morning I texted her and asked her for the owner’s information. She refused to give it to me and said he would contact me. I never heard from him. I attached the text messages so you can see them yourself. Needless to say, I did not take my kids back and was of course denied a refund even though they only went one day. Stay far away from this daycare. They mistreat the children and cover up the evidence and the director even defends the abusive actions. The parent of the child she yanked supposedly was notified and had no problem with how Tatyana handled her son. At any rate, I am not at all okay with the way the children were treated and I have reported them to the state.

I have used this provider for less than 6 months

Extremely unprofessional and rude. I enrolled my 11month old not even two weeks ago, I was so excited to get her into such a "lovely daycare" everyone was nice and polite and everything was going well. We had Access to cameras and would check on the baby from time to time. We noticed small things at first. Baby dropping bottle, no one paying attention, another baby starts drinking the bottle, still no one paying attention. Finally a teacher notices and gives the bottle back to our baby without washing it. My husband had to call the director Ms Dee to tell her, she was very prompt in reprimanding the teacher. Another incident we watched on camera, was the teacher mopping and sweeping while baby was on the floor spraying cleaning products in the air. Wow. Another incident, was a teacher picking up two kids at the same time by their forearm over their heads. This is not the proper way to pick up a child. And I was worried while she had her phone in hand with two children in each arm. Another incident, was my child looked as though she was chewing on something. Fingers kept going in and out of her mouth. This went on for FIVE MINUTES PEOPLE. FIVE MINUTES. It takes only one second for a child to choke on something! Two teachers were in the room, one cleaning and the other on her phone with her older son in the infant room. Mind you, No one is paying attention to my child. Finally! Another teacher comes in looks at her and notices the small object my daughter was chewing and eating. And thank god she was able to retrieve it from her mouth!! When we seen this we were so distraught. I couldn't breathe. We immediately started looking for another center for our baby to enroll at. So we found a nice place we wanted to look at. KIDZ KAMPUS across from San Jac. As we walk in we see The director Nicki and she preceded to show us around. As we are walking through the campus we see the director from ELC Ms DEE. ((Awkward moment)) We continued into the next room with Director Nicki and began to explain to her we already know Ms DEE, that her daycare is the reason we are coming to you today. We went over our concerns and made her aware it was nothing Ms DEE had done but were not happy with ELC and want to look around at other campuses. We explained to her that we would like to give Ms Dee the respect by speaking with her about our concerns. And if she could not say anything until we were able to speak with her privately about the issues. She agreed. Later I went to pick up our daughter and was followed by Ms DEE to the infant room where she rushed in with a posture that was very much uncomfortable and threatening then promptly slammed the door behind her. As I feel her eyes glaring, I politely turned around and asked to speak with her in the hallway in private. I told her I need to get baby down before she gets fussy but had some concerns I want to speak about in person. She agreed. But as I get in the car where my husband was watching/waiting, the first thing he tells me was "so you got cornered in the room? Wow." After coming home and putting the baby down. I was so upset what Ms DEE had done. I called her and confronted her about the issue. She denied doing so. Was very rude and Unprofessional. Told me HER SISTER called her and told her everything! The director of KIDZ KAMPUS, Nicki, was her sister! Extremely unprofessional as I asked to please let me speak with her first. I told Ms DEE that if she wanted to keep us as a client that she should be speaking to me in a way that I would want to keep my child here. But instead was very short and only telling me what I could have done better as a parent. After getting off the phone thirty min later she calls my husband. A complete 180 in the time of her voice. Nice, polite and begging for another chance. After much deliberation we finally get a call from the owner. He was unaware of all the other issues and the only thing he was aware of was the cleaning incident and picking up the children wrong! She definitely seemed as though she didn't want to tell the owner everything that happened.

My daughter just started attending elc and she absolutely loves it. The place she was going too earlier is literally walking distance from this center and the real difference is night and day. ELC is amazingly clean, fresh, spacious, well lit up and organized. I will surely recommend other moms in my neighborhood to try out this place.
