Welcome to Douros Daycare & Learning Center, a family daycare located in Thornton, CO. We are a mother and daughter team that specializes in childcare for infants and kids up to six-years old. Sandy has 28 years of experience caring for and teaching children in her own daycare, along with Nikki’s support. Nikki has 6 years of experience in environmental early-childhood education and a bachelor’s degree from CU-Boulder. Our goal is to provide a fun and safe learning environment for your child while encouraging social, emotional, and physical development. Your child will receive quality personal and individualized care in a warm, loving home. We have large, dedicated areas for the children to actively learn and play in, including a fully-fenced, child-friendly backyard. The stimulating play areas provide each child with an exciting world full of opportunities to explore, grow and learn through play. Because we maintain a low teacher to child ratio, your child will receive the kind of close attention she or he deserves. Daily activities include arts & crafts, music, songs, story time, ABCs, puzzles, counting, circle time, free play, dramatic play, and outdoor play.
