Donna is a wonderful person who has been nothing but caring and compassionate for our family and our son. The children often do art projects, they play outside in Donna's fenced in yard at least 2X per day, she has tons of toys and activates that she rotates to keep things fun for the kids. Very flexible and affordable. Don't let this one review deter any looking families from giving Donna a chance. Our family is truly lucky that this wonderful person is in our childs life.
Donna's daycare was great for my family and child when we first started my son attended Donna'a 2-3 hours three days a week @ $5/hour with a max of $150/week!
This was so nice and affordable! As my son aged I thought he needed a more stimulating environment. Many times the kids were plunked in front of the tv in the small house. As my son was three he was approaching the age of pre-school anyhow and I wanted him to transition to a school setting so I was hoping to cut back on my hours at Donna's and have my son at pre-school two days a week...when I informed Donna that my son would be reducing his days there I returned to pick him up at the end of the day and Donna told me it was full time or nothing and was very rude. My family is now looking for part time care as Donna gave us no notice that changing his hours would be all or nothing.
Unreasonable in my opinion when the days he would be attending there were only a few kids (2-4) when she is licienced for 8 kids & considering he started being there only for 9 hours a week total...
Overall Donna's is okay if you're on a tight budget but she often has doctors appointments mid day and is not caring for the families. She and her adult daughter pretend to care but it was made clear they are just collecting money for sitting at home all day.
We were extremely picky when choosing a provider for our little one. Donna was a GREAT choice!! She invited us to 'drop in' whenever we wanted to see her facility and way that she treats children. We did 'drop in' a few times and found her to be treating my child well as well as all of the other children in the home. I would truly recommend Donna's Day Care to anyone!!
